DR. MARC F
WEISMAN

Dr. Marc F Weisman
Dr. Marc F Weisman is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine (AMA) as well as Functional / Anti-aging Medicine. A graduate of the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Weisman completed his Family Medicine residency and post-graduate geriatric training at William Beaumont Hospital. He attended Functional Medicine University to receive his certification in Functional Medicine.

Concierge / Membership-based practice
Dr. Weisman will be converting his personal practice at Preferred Medical Group to an affordable Concierge or Membership-based practice in the fall of 2019. PMG is not otherwise changing-only Dr. Weisman’s practice is converting to Concierge. As a “concierge” doctor, he will reduce the number of patients under his direct and capable care, thereby offering member patients much greater access to him by phone, text and video-visits with no artificial time limits. He also sees patients at PMG on days he is available and his schedule permits, on a same-day basis for urgent care for adults of all ages. In this same-day capacity he will also be treating patients at PMG who are unable to secure an appointment with their usual primary care doctor immediately—again on a same-day, call-in basis.

Leadership Experience
He is a co-founder of the United (Beaumont) Physicians (UP) and served on their Executive Board and Operations Committee for its first decade. He served as the vice-chair for the pharmacy and therapeutics committee (Pharmacy-medications decision making) for Health Alliance Plan (HAP) for more than ten years as well. He is the founding past Medical Director and Chairman of the Board for the Beaumont Physician Organization, PC. This group merged with UP in 2014.

Personal
He is married with three children and enjoys fitness activities, swimming, biking, snow-skiing and hiking-particularly in the Rocky Mountains.

Personal
His website SlowMyAging.com is a state of the art, virtual wellness practice designed to improve one’s health and longevity. It will go live in the Fall 2019. This is a separate and distinct enterprise to his personal medical practice.

Dr. Weisman has four medical specialty board certifications. Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Functional Medicine and Anti-aging / Regenerative Medicine. Less than one percent of doctors in America have the distinction of being quadruple certified. More education means more knowledge. This knowledge is steeped in both traditional and complementary medicine which translates to the highest level of medical proficiency available.
