NEW PATIENT VISITS

  • We are accepting New Patients. Please verify with your insurance carrier that we are an In-network Please note that Complete Wellness exams are not performed at the time of your New Patient visit.

WELLNESS VISITS

  • We typically recommend a Wellness exam (“Physical exam”) every 2-3 years age 40-49, and annually for ages of 50-65.
  • Medicare does not cover typical wellness exams, so this population is managed differently. Insurance coverage varies for preventive care so you may want to call your carrier first.

INSURANCE WELLNESS FORM VISITS

  • Most Insurance companies are requiring an “Insurance Annual exam” sometimes poorly labeled “Wellness exam” because these are a shorter version of a Complete Wellness Exam.
  • Other employers require a “Qualification Biometric Exam”, which is a lesser form of a wellness visit that typically includes weight measurement, body mass index (BMI), blood glucose, cholesterol, tobacco status and other measures.
  • Even more confusing is that some insurers require this visit be billed as a “Complete Wellness Exam” creating certain billing challenges for us. Please be mindful that it is your insurance that drives these rules, not our office and we accommodate them and you as best we can.

PAP/PELVIC ViSITS

  • PAP/ Pelvic Exams are recommended annually for most women aker age 21, sooner if sexually active.
  • Some insurance companies do not pay cover these services annually, please call your insurance company prior to your visit to verify your coverage.

MEDICARE AWV VISITS

  • The Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) is a yearly visit with a provider to create or update a personalized prevention plan. This plan may help prevent illness based on your current health and risk factors. This visit is NOT an Annual Wellness exam, it is more a risk assessment often completed at a routine visit. Medicare waives both the coinsurance or copay and your deductible for the AWV visit.

TELEHEALTH (Telemedicine or Video Visit)

  • Telemedicine is a positive, major change in health care delivery in the US. Many health problems, acute and chronic, can be managed, or at least started, at a telemedicine visit.
  • We offer Telehealth visits daily for both urgent and chronic appointments.
  • Not all health issues can be properly addressed at a telemedicine appointment, but many can. Sometimes at a video visit your provider will order tests, referrals to other doctors, labs or stop the visit altogether and recommend a live visit or emergency room visit—all depending on circumstances.

URGENT CARE/SAME DAY ViSlTS

  • We offer same day Urgent care visits every weekday and Saturday mornings. These appointments are for same-day, often urgent symptoms and chronic, routine issues generally cannot be addressed due to time restraints.
